Mobility Module

The mobility module for the degree programme in Language and Communication Studies offers students the opportunity to acquire interdisciplinary knowledge and complementary skills and abilities through events or projects at universities in Germany and abroad. It is compulsory in the practical module and is intended to contribute to the professional field orientation.

Students should apply, deepen and reflect on the knowledge they have acquired in their previous studies to issues in other subjects. The choice of courses is the responsibility of the students themselves. There is also the possibility of performing the work at the university location itself.

Aim of the practical module

In the subsequent paper, students should relate the study and research contents of linguistics and communication science to the knowledge acquired in the mobility module. In this way, the relevance of linguistic and communication theory phenomena for these subjects will be questioned and critically reflected upon.

The aim of this practical module is to enable students to become acquainted with the transfer of knowledge acquired during their studies into professional fields of application and research contexts of other disciplines in an individualized manner according to their own interests and personal priorities. Attending foreign universities strengthens the internationalization, the view beyond one's own context into other cultures, which gives students additional skills for their future professional life.
