The master's degree programme for teachers of German builds on the bachelor's degree programme, deepens specialist scientific knowledge and - like the Institute for Language and Communication Sciences - is interdisciplinary.

General information and assistance is also available from the Lehrerbildungszentrum der RWTH Aachen - Teacher Training Center of RWTH Aachen University. The Training Center is responsible for the coordination of teacher training at RWTH Aachen University.

The Lehr- und Forschungsbereich Fachdidaktik Deutsch - teaching and research field didactics german is engaged in scientific research on the teaching of German language and literature in school and extracurricular contexts. In this area you will also attend compulsory courses during your teacher training.
