The Bachelor's degree programme in Human-Technology Interaction and Communication is the new version of the degree programme.

The Technology Communication program at RWTH Aachen University is unique in Germany in terms of its type and structure: as an interdisciplinary program, it combines an education in the humanities with an education in engineering or the natural sciences and creates a bridge between different worlds of thought. This is achieved through pronounced interdisciplinary linkages and the teaching of competencies in two subjects that are very different in terms of content and methodology.

The Technology-Communication program consists of the subject Communication Science and a technical subject that can be selected from two disciplines. Both subjects are studied to the same extent.

The communication science course is also interdisciplinary: it is linguistically based at its core and is supplemented by selected sociological, psychological and technology history theories, models and methods.

Students can choose their second subject from two technical subjects: Fundamentals of Computer Science, Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering.
